Harrison Ford made his return as the iconic Indiana Jones in the latest installment of the adventure film series. The film is directed by James Mangold along with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas as executive producers. It is now available on OTT.
Co-writer Jez Butterworth has opened up about why the casting works. He says, “You’ve got the same actor who was playing this in his thirties playing it in his late seventies. I think that what had been perceived perhaps as a disadvantage was all the advantage.”
He added further, “You had to absolutely run with the idea that what happens toward the end of people’s stories [can be just as fascinating] as what happens at the beginning of them. It started to feel authentic, and it gained a reality that was playable. If you embrace the opportunity, all sorts of storytelling doors open up.”
Indiana Jones and the Dial Of Destiny features Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas and more.
Harrison Ford returns as Indiana Jones with the movie set in 1969. The movie follows the globetrotting archaeologist as he sets out on an exciting quest for a rare artifact with his estranged goddaughter, Helena Shaw. The film is presently streaming on OTT.
