Do you know the meaning of the Rice Purity Test score? Well, I took the test to understand it better. Let me tell you what I saw when I took the test. There are about 100 questions that aim to evaluate your level of “innocence” or “experience”!

The questions are all about the range of topics, sex life, alcohol intake, drug abuse, and crime. If you are taking the test, you need to go through the list of 100 questions and tick them one by one based on your choices in life.

This test is the opposite of most tests around the world, having the lowest is something you should avoid. The lowest score you have means you have a vast amount of experience, most of them are not good in terms of social relevance and practices.

How is the Test Scored?

Do you want to know how the test is scored? Let us interpret the score and accordingly decide on the overall assessment. So, what do we know about the test scores and what they mean? Please don’t entertain your common fears when it comes to test scores.

On a scale of o to 100, the scoring point is about not ticking the box. The higher score you have, it shows that you are more innocent while with a lower score, you will interpret that you have a wide array of experience.

100 – 98 – Extreme High Purity

When interpreting the score, if you have scored somewhere between this, it means you have minimal romantic and social experiences. It is quite rare and reflects your limited adult experiences.

97 – 94 – Very High Purity

If you have scored between these, then again you have quite a high purity or innocence level. This score indicates basic social interactions reflecting limited experiences but that does not mean you are boring or introverted. It is completely okay if you have scored this high.

93 – 77 – High to Moderate Purity

This score reflects a wide range of experiences hence, as an individual, if you have scored in this bracket, it shows you might still be innocent or inexperienced in several areas related to sexual life, personal experiences of alcohol, drug consumption, and crime.

76 – 45 – Moderate to Low Purity

This takes you one notch lower as it reflects a more adventurous person who is not afraid to experience and experiment. There is nothing wrong especially because the questionnaire is quite old-fashioned as compared to the current times. You have gone through diverse experiences if you have scored in this bracket!

44 – 9 – Low Purity

Quite an extensive experience if you have scored between this bracket when you took the test. Starting from extensive experiences in risky behaviors when it comes to alcohol consumption, and drug abuse to romantic and sexual experiences to social interactions, the user has quite a fun and colorful life. There is nothing wrong with this as long as it has not hurt anyone!

8 – 0 – Extreme Low Purity

With an extremely low score on the purity test, you are the ruler of your lifestyle, having a detailed experience of life. Your life choices are quite colorful, adventurous, and borderline risky. You should be a little aware of the risks you have taken and try to be careful when going through such experiences.

What is the Best Score?

What is the Best Score_

If you ask me, the concept of the best score is subjective because different people consider different acts extremes. With various norms of society and personal values, your perspective forms accordingly.

This test is an approach to understanding life itself, your acquired experiences, and how innocent you still are in several cases. There is nothing wrong when it comes to being too innocent or too experienced!

I find this very similar to investment strategies, learning about what’s your value is and the impact it has on your life. The test is all about self-reflection, evaluation of life choices, and entertainment, instead of judging based on the scores.

The popularity of the Rice Purity Test?

The test was developed at Rice University located in Houston, Texas in the 1980s. But recently, it has been resurgent on social media as the GenZ people are quite excited about this test. Some of the questions are a little out of date, and for people of today’s generation, it can be a little boring.

The test, or should we say game on social media, has been modulated in a new version which is called the “innocence test”. It has some modern preferences such as questions involving Tinder.

Two best friends, both women created this contemporary version of the game which has been quite in demand as a practice among the Genz. It is about reflecting on one’s own experiences.

Criticism of the Rice Purity Test?

Among college students on social media, the rice purity test score meaning has become quite popular recently. There has been faded criticism of the text especially because some people highlighted that it is promoting a judgmental view of an individual’s personal experiences.

Furthermore, it is also not inclusive of different demographic groups of gender. The questions are intriguing, bringing to the forefront a reflection on personal experiences instead of scientific logic. Just like the shopping cart theory, this test brings out another side of you.

It is about fun and self-exploration! When I took the test, I scored 55, which is somewhere at the moderate scoring of the test. Does that mean, I am not pure? No, for me it is more about experiences, and I know, I have not done anything to be worried about.

Social Media on Rice Purity Test

People are responding differently when it comes to the Rice Purity Test, some saying “laughing and crying” while others saying, “I’ve been at a 97 for three years now”.

The test has been modulated on social media, and it ensures that nobody feels judged as the reply to the original poster, “It’s all relative! You do you.”

Social media platforms have people always ready to pass judgment, but I would say, you do not have to take this test as a compulsion. It is all fun and games help you in self-exploration and understanding instead of measuring you on a scale.

Wrapping Up!

In conclusion, self-exploration is what I feel is the true image of the Rice purity test, and the scoring accordingly helps you understand yourself better. To learn more, the rice purity test score helps you assess a person’s experience or innocence.
