Twenty-seven years of marriage tumbling down, and the world gets to know through a statement shared with People Magazine! Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are among Hollywood’s most loved couples, and fans were shocked with the announcement on Friday!
The couple are Australian and first met in 1995 when working for an Australian TV series, Correlli! The two tied the knot in the next year and created a beautiful life together by sharing two children, Oscar, now 23 years old, and Ava, who was 18 years old!
In a joint statement, the couple announced regarding their separation, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

They also informed People Magazine that the couple has decided on the separation because they feel their journey is shifting and want to pursue their growth separately. In the statement, they both confirmed that this is the only comment they will make on this subject.
Recently, the couple celebrated their 27th anniversary in April when Jackman posted on Instagram serenading his wife!
He was appreciating the years they have spent together in life and wrote, “Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. 27 YEARS!! I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart.”Jackman has been very vocal about his love for his wife in interviews. The couple has always been lovey-dovey in appearances for movie premieres and shows!
