Scheduled for release on March 29, 2024, Kung Fu Panda 4 marks the return of star Jack Black to the title role. The film will be directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Stine, known for their work on animated hits like The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and Shrek Forever After.
Joining Black in the cast are Awkwafina, Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, and more. While details about the storyline are scarce, the studio has teased that Po will face off against a formidable new foe named Chameleon.
Despite concerns arising from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, threatening the initial 2024 release date, Kung Fu Panda 4 is set to stick to its schedule. Universal Pictures Brazil confirmed at the Expocine 2023 festival that the film would indeed hit theaters in March next year.
