The only daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, died on January 12, 2023, after being rushed to hospital due to a cardiac arrest. She is survived by her mother, Priscilla Presley, and her daughters, Riley, Finley, and Harper Lockwood.
It was recently that the medical examiner’s reports came to light which informed that her death was a natural occurrence. The cardiac arrest she experienced was due to bowel obstruction. This condition often occurs if the small intestine is blocked or there are any adhesion from surgeries.
At times, colon cancer or medication can also result from bowel obstruction. However, in Lisa Presley’s situation, there was an adhesion due to her bariatric surgery years ago. It was a long-term risk that led to her death.
She was a gem of a person, and artists such as Axl Rose and Alanis Morissette performed in her tribute. She was buried next to her son Benjamin Keough at Graceland.
Lisa Presley was a singer and a songwriter, just like her father, who left all his inheritance with her. She last appeared at the Golden Globe Awards two days before her death. She was well-engaged with members of the Hollywood fraternity and regularly interacted with them.
The recent movie by Baz Luhrmann, “Elvis,” was appreciated by his daughter Lisa, who wrote, “it is nothing short of spectacular.” Initially, she was not so sure; however, when she saw the final product, she was jubilant and congratulated Austin Butler’s performance of her late father.
Apart from being a recorded artist, she has released popular albums such as To Whom It May Concern, Storm & Grace, and Now What. She was the sole heir of her father’s estate after her grandparents, which was contested a few times by other family members. At the age of 54, the artist lost her life! She was very young when she lost her father and has led a life that was challenging personally due to four failed marriages and the loss of her son to suicide!
