If you and your loved ones are planning an upcoming vacation to a new spot that you have never visited before, then look no further than Plano, Texas. We have compiled a list of several spots we recommend you visit, and also some general tips on how to plan an excellent vacation.
Top Notch Restaurants:
The Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar is unique from other restaurants in the Plano area because they don’t use conventional means of cooking, such as microwaves and ovens. Instead, they rely heavily on their wood-fire grill and smoker contraptions to create tasty meals for families. The restaurant also tries to use as many natural and local ingredients as possible, capitalizing on whichever goods are currently in season within the Plano area. With meals available for brunch, lunch, and dinner, the menu focuses on burgers, chicken, and other specialty proteins such as sirloins and salmon. Let’s not forget the social and happy hours available for adult visitors.
Opening for the very first time back in 1982, Chuy’s was created from an abandoned Texas Barbecue joint. Known for their delightful Tex-Mex style, you may have guessed that the menu is comprised of different flavors from the neighboring regions, including New Mexico, Mexico, and the deep southern parts of Texas.
Local Attractions:
The Crayola Amusement Center is going to make any child happy because this is where special magic brings the beloved Crayola crayons to life. This is the number one spot for families to visit when they are in Plano. With 22 attractions for your children to dip their hands into, families usually spend at least 3-4 hours there. Some of the features of the exhibit include kids starring in their own coloring page, creating your very crayon (the name and the color), an amazing 4-D coloring adventure, learning how crayons are created in a live-action production, and so much more.
Home of the Frisco RoughRiders Class AAA minor league baseball team, the Dr. Pepper Ballpark is a great place for any family that loves to enjoy Americas favorite past-time. If you are planning your visit to Plano during early March, consider bringing your family to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark to take part in the 2019 Frisco College Baseball Classic, where four of the country’s best college baseball teams will participate in a three-day tournament to see who will bring the victorious trophy back home to their beloved school.
Plano Hotels:
