Lady A sang a hit song of Clint Black, an award-winning singer to pay tribute to him at ACM Honors 2023. On 18th September many other country acts performed at ACM Honors 2023 and Lady A was one of them. She sang the beautiful, note-perfect version of the hit song “A Bad Goodbye.”
Lady A was joined by Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Charles Kelley in her performance and delivered a very polished yet restrained performance of the song. “A Bad Goodbye” is a hit song by Clint Black from his 1993 album ‘No Time to Kill.’
This song was originally a duet that Black sang with Wynonna Judd and that earned a No.2 hit for the pair. ACM Poet’s Award was awarded to Clint Black during the ceremony on 23rd August. The ceremony took place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The country legend Black gave a hilarious speech after receiving the award noting the special moment. Billy Ray Cyrus, Brandy Clark, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Brice, War and Treaty, and Brett Young were among the other celebrities who gave tribute performances to the singer at ACM Honors 2023.
The ACM Triple Crown Award was awarded to Chris Stapleton in the event on Monday night. Kane Brown was awarded the ACM International Award.
Mary Chapin Carpenter was also awarded the Poet’s Award along with K.T. Oslin who earned it posthumously.
The ACM Spirit Award was awarded to Charlie Daniels posthumously at the ceremony that aired on Sunday ning that aired on Fox.
Some of the stars who walked the ACM Honors 2023 red carpet were Clint Black, Lady A, Kane Brown, and Tim McGraw. The show was recorded in Nashville this August in the historic Ryman Auditorium but was aired on Monday night on Fox.
