The 30-year-old Tori Kelly was hospitalized on Sunday night after she passed out during dinner at her friend’s place. The Grammy winner was hospitalized for severe blood clots in her lungs and legs. She is currently in ICU getting treatment for blood clots in her body.
Kelly was at her friend’s place, attending a dinner party in Los Angeles. Right before passing out, she said her heartbeats were faster than normal. She was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital, and at present, she is getting treatment there.
TMZ reported that the doctors had discovered severe blood clots in Tori Kelly’s legs and lungs. The doctors are also searching for clots around her heart. Kelly is signed under Epic Records at present and managed by SB Projects.
The singer-songwriter recently revealed her first single, “Missin U,” and the song’s music video released in March. Kelly’s song samples Craig David’s single “Fill Me In,” which came out in 2000.
This is the first new single from Kelly since 2019’s album “Inspired by True Events” and 2020’s album “A Tori Kelly Christmas.” Kelly won ‘The Best Gospel Album’ at the 2019 Grammy Awards for her second album ‘Hiding Place.’
She also won another Grammy for ‘The Best Gospel Song/Performance’ for the song ‘Never Alone.’ Following her newly released single, “Missin U,” the singer-songwriter told People magazine she is excited to hit the roads for her tour.
The singer shares, “I miss touring so much. I was actually on a world tour right as COVID was happening, and it was heartbreaking to have to cancel that.”
She added, “Since then, I haven’t been able to tour. That’s one of the most exciting things I’m looking forward to. I can’t give any details or anything yet, but I cannot wait just to see fans again and belt out these songs with them.”
