It is based on the manga of the same name; it has quickly become one of the most popular anime of all time. It is written by Masashi Kishimoto. The plot revolves around family, sacrifice, redemption, and perseverance.

The series spans the life of Naruto. He first appears to be a young orphan as he tries to gain the respect of his peers. The characters Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno venture into different missions with their sensei, Kakashi Hatake.

As the story goes on, the characters mature into adults, dealing with life crises such as love, betrayal, and pain. Naruto even goes on to become a husband and father by the end of his series run. The first three Naruto movies are similar to the original anime TV series. The following eight takes place within the timeframe of Naruto: Shippuden. The chronology of Blood Prison is even more confusing and has sparked a lot of debate among fans. It likely comes after episode 220. Road To Ninja sits somewhere after episode 250. Aptly named The Last, it portrays Naruto and his friends trying to stop the moon from hitting Earth. It comes before episode 495.

Boruto: Naruto The Movie follows Naruto’s son Boruto in new adventures. The events are retold in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, which extensively covers episodes 51-66. The latter entries of Naruto are highly debatable among franchise fans, but most of them can be watched without strict continuity.

Naruto is falsely accused of attacking the Fourth Riakage, who was arrested in the Hidden Grass Village. He is sent to prison, Hozuki Castle also called the Blood Prison. It is not an easy task, and it becomes even more tough without his fox chakra. This film takes place after episode 196 of Shippuden.

A unique film in the Naruto series, Road to Ninja, is a What If? Plot. Naruto and Sakura are transported to a world where both of Naruto’s parents are alive, Sakura is an orphan, and Sasuke never leaves Konoha. What their lives could have been is the storyline of this film. This film is set after episode 251 of Shippuden.

10. The Last

The Last

This movie is the last in the Naruto franchise. You can watch this movie after episode 493 of Shippuden. In this feature, Naruto and his friends discover that the moon will be colliding with the Earth. This event is caused by a descendant of The Sage of Six Paths. The Last: Naruto the Movie turns out to be very different from what fans had come to expect– it is a romance.

11. Boruto: Naruto the Movie

Technically not a Naruto film, it sets up the sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The jinchūriki are being assassinated, which also leads to the threat being directed at Naruto Uzumaki. The only people who can save him are his old friend Sasuke Uchiha and his son Boruto. Thai happens in between the finale of Naruto Shippuden and before Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
