Home Remodeling Creative Ideas

Home remodeling has been on the rise in the last few years. According to the LightStream Home Improvement Survey, 76% of people plan to remodel their homes in 2019. This is a 26% increase from 2018.

The survey also found that many homeowners plan to spend an average of $9,000 doing the renovations. Outdoor projects, bathroom remodels, and kitchen remodels account for many of the renovation plans.

You can also join the majority of the people mentioned above who plan to remodel their homes. If the price seems too steep for you, worry not, there are other home modeling ideas that you can explore to improve the aesthetic appeal of your home.

Home Modeling Ideas:

Building an Outdoor Kitchen:

Inviting the extended family for barbecue over the weekend is a popular pass time activity among many families. The grill is typically placed in the compound far away from the house.

With the kids playing in the same compound, this can be very dangerous. Having an outdoor kitchen takes care of this problem.

A stone structure with space in the middle for the grill and a small surface on either side can function as the outdoor kitchen. Another way of cooking outside is to include a brick pizza oven in your kitchen. You can even add a ventilation hood to ensure that the surrounding wall is not stained by smoke.

Aquarium Coffee Table:

A coffee table gives you the chance to decorate your sitting room further. Many people use it as a way of subtly showing something they care about.

If you love nature, then this is your chance to bring it closer to you. You can be sure that your kids will love the idea.

Creating a Home for you Dog under the Stairs:

Your dog protects you and keeps you company when you most need it. It is not just an animal you genuinely care about; it is also a member of your family.

As a member of the family, your dog deserves decent accommodation. You can give him/her the shelter they deserve by building a small hole under the stairs.

You can then place a mat in your dog’s home.

A couch that Serves as a Bookcase:

Bibliophiles love to have their books in a place where they can easily access them. Most times they have to settle for the basement or the attic due to lack of space.

If you have limited space, the back and sides of the couch can serve as a case for your books. This ensures that you can easily take a break from the technology in your surrounding by chucking a book while still sitting.

Outside Firepit:

An outdoor fire pit gives you the option of taking entertainment outside when the house feels too crowded. Your guests can experience the beauty of nature and get fresh air at the same time.

It also gives you two separate areas of entertainment when the crowd wants to be separated by age or gender. One group can hold their talk in the house while the other comfortably sit outside.

Spring is the best time to make use of the fire pit.

Hanging a Relaxing Bed or Hammock from the Tree:

The branches of the tree outside your home can help you set up a relaxing bed or hammock. The strings on the bed will be constructed at the top and expand downwards to hold the suspended bed from the metallic frame. The place you lie on is made up of strings wrapped around the metallic frame.

You can comfortably read a book or enjoy the sunlight from this position

Mirror Tiles:

According to the National Association of Home Builders, bathroom remodels were the most popular type of remodeling in 2017. Kitchen remodels followed at a close second.

One of the most requested features in the bathroom remodels was mirror tiles. Mirror tiles are made from real glass. They are cut to size and fixed using a tough adhesive material.

These tiles were the most requested because of their aesthetic appeal and durability. They also come in a variety of colors.

Storage Space in the Floor of Guestroom:

This is a home modeling idea that is rarely used, but it can create a lot of space for you.

First, a platform on the floor is made. Second, storage spaces in the platform are created. Third, the open end of the platform is used to make more space.

With that, you will have space to store your things well into the future.

Final Word:

There are plenty of home modeling ideas that can be used to bring the picture of the home you wanted when you were a kid to life, and you do not have to stretch yourself financially to do so. The examples above are proof of that.

There is no crazy idea that the home modeling experts are not willing to try for you. If anything, they love when they get a challenge.
