We want to go to Singapore during covid-19, what are the travel restrictions now and what should we know about it. Additionally, what are the rules for booking a “Hotel in Singapore”? Let’s take a look.
Travel Restrictions:
Furthermore, only Singapore citizens and Long-Term Pass Holders (excluding Work Permit holders) can enter Singapore without prior approval. Also, if you’re not a citizen or a Long-Term Pass Holder, you must get approval to enter Singapore.
A. Fully Vaccinated
Simultaneously, if you’re fully vaccinated, you will enter on a Vaccinated Travel Lane(VTL) without needing to quarantine. but you must:
1. have spent the past 7 days in a VTL country
2. apply for a vaccinated travel pass 3 to 60 days before your departure date
3. book a seat on a VTL flight
4. have your travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage (minimum $31,000)
5. have digital or paper copies of the required documents
6. take the required COVID-19 tests before departure and on arrival
Basically, children who are aged under 12 years and have unvaccinated parents can have traveled and can enter Singapore through a Vaccinated Travel Lane. Consequently,this includes children turning 12 years old in 2022.
If you’re fully vaccinated and if you are just recovered from COVID-19 in the past three months, you may be going through the COVID-19 tests.
B. Not Vaccinated
If you’re not fully vaccinated, you cannot make the entrance to Singapore unless: you’re a Singapore citizen or a permanent citizen of Singapore. Else you have to bring the approval to enter under the Familial Ties Lane.
About the hotel, from 1st February of 2022, Vaccination is differentiated through the Safe Management Measures in Singapore (VDS). This process is also expanded to cover hotels, hostels, and serviced apartments. Only completely-vaccinated individuals are those who are having a 180-day immunity due to being earlier infected with COVID-19 will be able to check-in. Please note that an individual is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after he or she has received the full regimen of any World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) vaccine.
Guests who are waiting for COVID-19 test results may only share their rooms with family members. Please contact the hotel for policy confirmations, before booking. As some properties are not being able to accept guests who are still in the waiting queue.
