Death differs for famous people because several people are interested in the news. So, when celebrities die, their fans, family, and friends come into question, leading to a greater impact on their deaths.
You might also idolize a celebrity you find inspiring and wish to follow in your career. So, you will feel the impact of your famous celebrity’s death when they leave forever.
As I am writing this article, I want to mention another death today. Phil Donahue, who died today, hosted the daytime TV show “The Phil Donahue Show” from 1967 till 1996.
You might have already heard of several celebrity deaths in 2024; however, in this article, will focus on famous people who died in 2023.

House of Carter’s fame Bobbie Jean Carter died at 41 in 2023. She is the sister of Aaron and Nick Carter. Police found her unresponsive in her bathroom that led to her ultimate demise.
According to police reports, the combined effects of methamphetamine and fentanyl led to her death. Additionally, she struggled with substance abuse and addiction, which led to her leaving the spotlight.

Another celebrity we lost in 2023 was Ellen Holly, famous for her works like “One Life to Live,” “King Lear,” and “Sergeant Matlovick vs. The US Air Force.” She died at the age of 92 in her sleep.

Jean Knight
Jean Knight, the Grammy-nominated singer who gave the hit album, ‘Mr. Big Stuff’ in 1971 died at the age of 80. She died of natural causes before giving hits like ‘Mr. Big Stuff,’ ‘Do Me,’ and ‘You Think You’re Hot Stuff,’ she was a baker.
While working as a baker, she recorded the song ‘ Mr. Big Stuff’ which earned her first Grammy nomination. She garnered more fame with her songs “You Got the Papers (But I Got the Man)” and “My Toot Toot.”
Brandi Mallory
Makeup artist Brandi Mallory died at the age of 40 because of complications associated with obesity. You might know her from ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” series focused on celebrity weight loss. She appeared in the show’s fourth season to lose weight.
When she appeared on the show, she weighed 329 pounds. She went through rigorous training to lose weight and weighed 178 pounds.
Additionally, she started her makeup and fitness account on Instagram with thousands of followers. Furthermore, she was a dance instructor for Dance Your Pounds Off in Atlanta. She was an inspiring celebrity who fought her battles head-on until her untimely death.

According to the police, the real cause of his death was ketamine poisoning. Five people were charged for his death including his manager and doctors.

David McCallum

Colin Burgess

He was not included in the ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame under the group AC/DC. However, he was included in the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Hall of Fame because of his popularity in Australia.

Shane MacGovan died of encephalitis at the age of 65. You might have heard his songs “A Pair of Brown Eyes” and “The Old Main Drag.” He was an Irish punk-rock musician who was famous for his ‘howling’ vocals.
His music topped the UK. Top 20 charts, especially the single “Fairytale of New York” in 1978. This single was later featured in the album ‘If I Should Fall from Grace with God’ in 1988 by the bank Pogues.
Jon Kennedy
