The news that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson had broken up this year after a brief nine-month romance came as a shock to us. The famous couple, with Davidson filming in Australia, reportedly struggled with their hectic schedules and long distance when the news first surfaced, according to a source for Entertainment Tonight.
“Pete and Kim broke up. The distance has been hard and things were starting to fizzle out,” the source said. “Pete being away for so long was hard for them. Kim is doing well and she knows she has a lot going on. Pete has been super busy as well.”
Although it was a relationship we never would have predicted, it ended up becoming one of our favorite celebrity partnerships in many ways. Even though we were hoping for a reconciliation, we are now going back in time to look at Kardashian’s past relationships. So who is Kim Kardashian dating, the days?
Who Is Kim Kardashian Dating?
Have you ever wondered about the number of men in Kim Kardashian’s life? Past or present, each relationship she has ever been a part of has impacted her journey in the entertainment industry. Each has contributed to both her fame and infamy. There were also rumors and links that could not sustain our interest for long. Here are some of the most notable ones that left a mark.
Damon Thomas
Prior to becoming a multi-billionaire and a prominent figure in the beauty industry, Kardashian was embroiled in a contentious romance with music producer Damon Thomas. She reportedly got married to him while high on ecstasy when she was just 19 years old. They separated in 2003 and divorced in 2004.
Ray J.
Few partnerships are quite as notorious as the reality star’s affair with Ray J. In 2003, when she was divorcing Thomas, the couple started dating and recorded a sex tape. When it was eventually disclosed in 2007, Kardashian’s fame skyrocketed. In his book Death of a Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray, J recollected specific moments from their relationship.
“To be honest, the whole thing started off wrong. We’d known each other for a while before we dated and there was a mutual attraction, but she was married … She let me know she wanted to get with me. She left her husband for me as soon as we started having sex and things between us got intense really fast. After that, I felt obligated to be with her,” he wrote.
Nick Cannon
In 2006, Kardashian had a brief relationship with Nick Cannon following one night out with Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey. The actor said in a 2012 interview with Howard Stern that the reason for their breakup was Kardashian’s deceit regarding the tape she had of her sex with Ray J.
Reggie Bush
Kardashian had a sporadic relationship with NFL player Reggie Bush from 2007 to 2010. Kim allegedly dated Masked Singer host Nick Cannon for a short time in 2006 and 2007. According to Cannon, the reason it ended was that Kim wasn’t being entirely truthful about having a sex tape with Ray J.
“If she might have been honest with me, I might have tried to hold her down and be, like, ‘That was before me.’ She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet,” he said. “But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape….?” He has also revealed that Kim was “one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.”
In July 2010, Kardashian started dating Miles Austin, a former NFL player. “They are dating, but she doesn’t want to rush anything,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. They broke up in September of that same year after it turned out to be just another summertime fling.
Gabriel Aubry
In November 2010, not long after breaking up with Austin and following brief reports of relationships with Michael Copon and John Mayer, Kardashian dated Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. A few weeks later, they broke up, supposedly as a result of Berry’s involvement.
Kris Humphries
This is yet another notorious relationship involving Kardashian. It’s true that Kardashian had a busy year in 2010. By December, she was dating NBA player Kris Humphries. After only six months of dating before they were married in August 2011, he proposed to the reality star on a Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode. Seventy-two days later, she famously filed for divorce.
Kanye West
Then of course there was Kanye West. The couple took their relationship public in October 2012 – just over a year since she divorced Humphries – but according to a later report, the pair had been having “sleepovers” long before we knew anything. The following December they announced they were expecting their first child before welcoming North West in June 2013. They wed in May 2014.
They welcomed three more children, son Saint in 2015, daughter Chicago in 2018 and son Pslam in 2019. After several public outbursts, cheating rumors and a “difference of opinion,” the KKW founder filed for divorce from the rapper and designer in February 2021.
Pete Davidson
Soon after their September encounter on the set of Saturday Night Live (where they even shared a kiss on live television), Pete Davidson and Kardashian ignited rumors of a romantic relationship at Knott’s Berry Farm in California, where they met. It was unclear whether the suspected couple was more than just friends despite the fact that they were seen out on multiple date nights together.
A close source of Kardashian’s acknowledged the pair were “casually dating” in November of last year. A few tattoos and almost nine months later, the couple called it quits in August 2022.
Fred
Kim is secretly messaging a guy she’s calling “Fred,” whose identity hasn’t been revealed yet. “You obviously learn from every situation, and the one thing I learned from the last situation was the media made me feel like I was in a very serious relationship so quickly,” Kim said, citing her previous relationship as the reason she hasn’t introduced Fred to the public. “I just want to sneak around a little bit. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to sneak!”
