Thanks to the sub-4 metre compact-SUV category, it is very interesting to see how automobile brands make the best use of available space in this segment. And the one which makes the most spacious SUV is the clear winner. The Ford EcoSport is 3999mm long, while both Nexon and Brezza are 3995mm long. However, the additional 4mm space on EcoSport hardly makes a difference.

The Tata Nexon (1811mm) is widest of all trumping the Vitara Brezza (1790mm) by 21mm and the EcoSport (1765mm) by 46mm. This suggests that the Tata Nexon will surely offer a better shoulder room than the EcoSport and Brezza. Sitting 5 on Tata Nexon won’t be uncomfortable. The Ford EcoSport has the longest wheelbase 2520mm, but it is still fails to offer good legroom on the front and back. Being the tallest, the EcoSport offers the best headroom.

Considering the Indian roads, the ground clearance is very important. This is where both Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport stand at 200mm, while the Brezza at 198mm. We hope that the 2mm shorter height won’t make a difference.
